Active Learning: Theory Into Practice
Introduction to Active Learning





Active Learning is an effective practice designed specifically for developmentally young learners with visual impairments including those with additional disabilities. During this training, we will discuss the foundational principles of Active Learning and the Functional Scheme Assessment. Participants will have the opportunity to share and analyze videos to brainstorm active learning strategies that might provide means of growth. A variety of Active Learning equipment, that can be used for enhancing student learning, will be available for hands-on exploration and discussion. Session and materials costs are partially funded through state or federal grants.
