Developing District Guidelines for Paraprofessionals Working in Life Skills Programs
Onsite Region 4

Attend this session to begin, refine, or further develop district guidelines for the use and expectations of instructional paraprofessionals (paras) serving in Life Skills programs.  When paras clearly understand their role and the expectations of the district, campus, and classroom teacher, student learning is maximized and stronger collaboration exists between the para(s) and the teacher(s). Designed for district and campus leaders, this session will provide a presentation on proactive practices and a template that can be personalized. Participants or at least one district team member should bring their own laptop device in order to begin developing district guidelines. Session and materials costs are partially funded through state or federal funds.
