Did you know that poor children and those of color are far less likely to be taught by qualified teachers - no matter how the term “qualified teacher” is defined? (Center for Teaching Quality)
Studies consistently show that teachers have a strong impact on student growth, and the way that students feel about their own potential for success. This interactive session will provide instructional leaders, coaches, and teachers with research-based, key elements that powerfully impact student success, and can be implemented immediately into the instructional day. Participants will engage in purposeful discussion and reflection to examine the relationship between greater access to these elements and student growth, analyze connections to our own biases that may hinder student growth, and reframe our thinking, planning, and implementation to align with best practices for increasing student achievement in all students, for all students.
