Change is
inevitable and facilitating change at the district or school wide level can be
hard. Whether it’s a new curriculum, a new process, or a new way of thinking,
the change process can make or break a team. In this session, we will look at
change through the lens of the Switch framework from the New York Times
Bestseller “Switch: How to Change Things When Change is Hard” by Chip and Dan
Heath. We will dive deeply into the logical part of change management, the
emotional components of the change process, and look at how we can adapt the
environment to make change easier for those involved. Participants will create
a change management plan that will impact their teams and/or stakeholders and
have an opportunity to receive feedback from peers before they take their plan
live. An e-book copy “Switch'' is included in the registration fee for
this event.
