High Impact Tutoring Program Design-Administrator Session





These sessions will help District Administrators and/or Campus Administrators design a  "High" impact tutoring program for their district or campus.  It will cover the basic tenets of what makes a tutoring program highly effective for the students.

This session is NOT for tutors or tutor training.  It does NOT address any tutor specific trainings for the Subsidized Providers from TCLAS Decision 6.

This session is designed for those individuals within an LEA who are working to create a High Impact Tutoring program beyond the basic requirements laid out by HB 4545.



Important Session Information:



This session will take a deep dive into the specific qualities and characteristics that move a tutoring program form average or minimal to “High Impact”.

It is designed for administrators at the district or campus level who have decision-making authority or influence regarding such topics as:

  • Which students receive tutoring?

  • How many days per week will tutoring be offered?

  • How are students grouped and how large are those groups?

  • What subjects will be tutored?

  • When will tutoring occur?

  • How will tutors be hired?

  • What does tutor training look like?

  • How will tutoring be monetarily supported?

  • What resources will be used for tutoring?

This session is limited to district or campus level administrators.  It is not designed for teachers or other tutors.  It is not a training for tutoring.
