National Presenter Series for Inclusive Practices (Virtual)
Putting the Special back into Specially Designed Instruction with Anne Beninghof





The National Presenter Series for Inclusive Practices offers participants a unique opportunity to hear some of the leading national experts in education for diverse learners.  Participants will receive information on innovative strategies to support accessibility and proficiency for all learners inclusive of students with disabilities. The trainings support the Texas Teacher Standards and the Domains within the Texas Teacher Evaluation Support System (TTESS).  Join us for this unique and exciting opportunity.


Important Session Information:



Special education teachers are providing services in general education settings more than ever before. How does this change specially designed instruction? Instead of implementing specific, scripted programs in an alternative setting, special education teachers need to adapt the general education curriculum so that it is accessible. What does this look like? How do we scaffold classroom instruction and materials? How do we preview and activate knowledge? How does the latest neuroscience relate to students who struggle? This workshop will help specialists rediscover the process of designing instruction that is special, including dozens of easy-to-implement strategies.
