MTSS-Behavior Tier 1 Team Training (Training Of Trainers)
Virtual-Both Days Required





This Training of Trainer (TOT) session is for district personnel who will be training MTSS-Behavior: Tier 1 Team Schoolwide Systems Training to campus MTSS-Behavior teams on Tier 1 behavioral systems implementation. Individuals who will be training are required to attend the three day MTSS-Behavior Tier 1 Team Schoolwide Systems Training prior to taking this course. Links to this prerequisite course will be in the Recommended Event Titles section, if any are scheduled. This TOT will take trainers through the following:

  • MTSS-Behavior Tier 1 Schoolwide Systems implementation 10 critical elements.
  • Readiness requirements before training to ensure school-wide implementation is successful and sustainable
  • How to use the materials and scripted training on the 10 critical elements of Tier 1 to help campuses establish MTSS-Behavior systems
  • How to use the fidelity assessment and action planning tools with teams
  • Additional resources trainers may find helpful in training their school teams 
  • Presenting a section of the Tier 1 Team Training with feedback and support is done on Day 2


Important Session Information:



It is required that new trainers first take session #1726829 Creating Campus-Based Behavioral Systems: Tier 1 Team Training as a participant to see the material and the process. Trainers will be reteaching components to the class. Attending Tier 1 Team Training will also allow potential trainers the opportunity to see teams work; the questions they ask during training; the process for conducting activities; and how to assist campus teams problem solve.
