Administering the Texas Kindergarten Entry Assessment (TX-KEA) by CLI [Virtual, Synchronous]

This virtual session clarifies the purpose of the Texas Kindergarten Entry Assessment (TX-KEA) and provides kindergarten teachers with an understanding of the literacy screening measures and how to administer the assessment. Participants will discover the various types of reports available for viewing data and will explore the CIRCLE Activity Collection to support instruction in the classroom.

Special Note: Participants must use TX-KEA. Participants need a computer, reliable internet access, and a CLI Engage account. Participants must be able to access their CLI Engage account successfully prior to the start of the session.Teachers will have opportunities to work with and learn from each other as they practice techniques presented during the training. Participants will need to print handouts prior to the training.

Important Session Information:

This session takes place virtually over two days, please pay special attention to the dates and times below when registering. Attendance and participation at BOTH dates is mandatory in order to receive attendance credit and a certificate for the training.

PLEASE READ BEFORE REGISTRATION: Because this session is open to all Texas stakeholders, if your calendar changes for any reason before the session start date, and if you are no longer able to attend a session you registered for, PLEASE email Region 4 Registration Services to cancel your reservation at Register@esc4.net. We have limited seats and it is paramount that we open the seat back up and offer it to another Texas participant who can attend. Thank you for your consideration and support!

Participants in this session need access to their TX-KEA accounts. If participants do not have a school/district account with TX-KEA access, their district can add them, or they can submit a help ticket (https://cliengage.atlassian.net/servicedesk/customer/portal/1). It can take 24-36 hours for their help ticket to be resolved.
