Engage in activities designed to bring clarity to the definition of giftedness, the unique needs of gifted learners, and the Texas State Plan for the Education of Gifted/Talented Students.

Leave with knowledge and tools to

  • Assist in the recognition of the nature and needs of gifted students;
  • Build a working knowledge of the intense feelings and sensitivities of gifted students;
  • Understand how gifted behaviors and needs can affect the social growth and academic achievement of gifted learners;
  • Understand the various service options for gifted students; and
  • Consider district and campus compliance regarding gifted service options through an examination of the Texas State Plan for the Education of Gifted/Talented Students.

This professional learning opportunity fulfills the Administrator requirement outlined in the Texas State Plan for the Education of Gifted/Talented Students.
