Giving Immediate Feedback to Students Through Academic Monitoring (Virtual)

Waiting until the exit ticket to assess student learning is too late. By the time the exit ticket is given, class has ended and the teacher has yet to determine how effective their instruction was that day.  Academic Monitoring is a strategy that enables teachers to collect real-time data on student performance during independent practice in order to provide students with immediate feedback or to address student misconceptions in whole group.  This session will train instructional leaders on the various components of this strategy so that they can support successful implementation on their campus.  Participants will receive a resource text.
