This course will focus on all PRC Accent devices (Accent 700, 800, 100, 1200, and 1400). Participants will practice the following skills: locate and identify different vocabulary sets, edit core keys, edit an activity key and page key, hide or show an activity, use vocabulary builder, create a new activity row and/or page, lock the toolbox, and perform memory transfer to back up device contents. Participants will also be able to describe the different language representation methods available on the PRC devices. They will be able to accurately locate and define the function of basic hardware features of the devices. This training is appropriate for SLPs, OTs, ATPs, educators, family members, and others who support individuals who currently use or may need to use PRC devices.
Region 4 does not endorse one product over any other product as all devices should be individualized based on recommendations from current assessment and communication needs.
