This session addresses the importance of differentiated instruction to ensure learning is easily accessed by all children in the classroom, as well as providing scaffolding to progressively move children toward stronger understanding and, ultimately, greater independence in the learning process. Teachers will learn about the differences between differentiation and scaffolding and practice a variety of scaffolding techniques. As they consider what scaffolding techniques may be needed based on their TX-KEA data, teachers will practice adjusting scaffolds when planning.
Special Note: Participants must use TX-KEA. Participants need a computer, reliable internet access, and a CLI Engage account. Participants must be able to access their CLI Engage account successfully prior to the start of the session. Participants will need to print handouts prior to the training.
