Universal Design for Learning Big Top
A Sandbox Approach to the 3 Rings





Come one... Come all and join us under the UDL big top to explore the Universal Design for Learning framework! We will take a hands-on approach to the three principles of UDL. In the first ring, you will tame the lions by designing activities using the engagement principle. In the second ring, you will juggle what you have learned by designing activities using the representation principle. In the third ring, you will watch your students fly on the trapeze by designing activities using the action and expression principle. These customized resources can be taken back to your classroom and implemented right away. This is an immersive, guided, collaborative experience with Universal Design for Learning. This session is not for the faint of heart! This is an intermediate-level UDL workshop. NOTE: A prerequisite to this course is the 2-3 hour Foundations of UDL session or having a background knowledge of UDL principles.
