Mounting assistive technology plays a major role in a student's ability to access and use his/her device successfully. In this workshop, participants will learn what questions to ask to help them determine the mounting option that will successfully meet their student's individual needs. They will explore the "why" of mounting, and benefits of including mounting into their assessments. Participants will learn specific terminology for mounting to help them communicate more effectively within a collaborative group, or when seeking help. Through hands-on demonstrations, participants learn to use the mounting system as a positioning tool to help meet both the physical and visual needs of their student, thus increasing the student's ability to use their device longer without fatiguing because of improper body positioning.
