Accountability After the Bell (Virtual)
A–F Accountability Overview





The Texas Accountability System can be complex, with many interconnected components. Accountability After the Bell is a series of one-hour sessions designed to help educators and administrators understand the key elements of the system and how they directly relate to their daily work. These short, targeted sessions will take place after the school day ends, providing a convenient way for school and district staff to enhance their knowledge in a focused, efficient manner.

Each session will cover a different aspect of the Texas Accountability System, including but not limited to:

  • Overview of the Texas Accountability System: Understanding Each Domain and Final Grade
  • Student Achievement Domain and Relative Performance
  • School Progress Domain: Part A (Academic Growth) & Part B (Relative Performance)
  • Closing the Gaps Domain: Addressing Gaps in Student Performance
  • College, Career, and Military Readiness (CCMR) and Its Role in Accountability
  • Graduation and Accountability: Understanding Graduation Rates and Their Impact
  • Federal School Improvement Identification Labels: Comprehensive, Targeted, and Additional Targeted
  • Distinction Designations: What They Mean for Your School
  • The Impact of Assessment and Answer Document Coding on Accountability
  • Alternative Education Accountability (AEA) Campuses: What Sets Them Apart

The subtitle will include the specific topic that will be covered for the session.



Important Session Information:



Have you ever wondered how your daily work directly influences your campus or district's A–F accountability rating? This engaging one-hour session will provide educators—from teachers to administrators—with an overview of the A–F accountability system and how individual efforts impact student outcomes. Participants will explore how various aspects of their roles contribute to the overall grade, from student achievement to progress measures. By the end of the session, attendees will gain a deeper understanding of how their work intersects with A–F accountability and assists them in identifying actionable steps to improving student outcomes.
