Cultivating the Historian’s Mindset: Scaffolding Evidence-Based Thinking in Social Studies
Share
How can we equip students to think, write, and discuss like historians? During this session, we will explore strategies for scaffolding historical thinking through evidence-based discussions and writing, including the use of hot text, multipart questions organizers, and CER responses. Join us as we examine practical tools to help students analyze historical information, construct arguments, and engage in meaningful discourse and writing activities that prepare them for active citizenship in a changing world.
