The first half of the program focuses on speech-audibility-centric objective hearing aid fitting and verification procedures, and how such an approach can facilitate the patient's journey from the initial diagnostic visit through aural rehabilitation. This section of the program includes two guided learning labs that will be executed by attendees at each provided workstation.
The second half of the program focuses on digital hearing aid function verification including such features as directional microphone and noise reduction measurement. Learning labs on directional mic testing and remote mic testing are included.
Two additional function verification topics selected by the attendees from a list of six other procedures will also be included in the workshop. The program ends with an overview of Over-The-Counter (OTC) electro-acoustic hearing aid testing and performance verification, with a learning lab to practice the pass/fail testing and counseling procedures described
