Creating a T.I.P.S Classroom for Emergent Bilingual Students in Science





Experience a three-dimensional science lesson that utilizes the four essential practices of the T.I.P.S. framework to improve outcomes for emergent bilingual students and discuss ways to plan for immediate implementation in the science classroom. The foundational classroom practices include total participation techniques, incorporating academic vocabulary, promoting literacy and language development, and supporting struggling learners.
