Join us for a dynamic 3-hour interactive instructor training designed to equip school educators and staff with the tools to deliver Think Smart, a 5-week opioid misuse prevention curriculum tailored for students in grades 4 through 12. Think Smart is designed to help children and teens build confidence, understand opioid misuse risks, and make healthy choices. The program also includes fentanyl education.
This engaging training will walk participants through the curriculum’s age-appropriate content, which focuses on increasing knowledge, developing problem-solving and refusal skills, applying harm-reductions strategies, and fostering healthy decision-making. Participants will experience hands-on activities, discussion strategies, and classroom management techniques to effectively engage students.
By the end of this session, facilitators will:
· Understand the goals and structure of the 5-week curriculum
· Learn how to adapt content for various grade levels
· Gain skills to create a safe and inclusive learning environment
· Practice delivering interactive components of the curriculum
· Be prepared to lead impactful opioid misuse prevention sessions with confidence
