Objectives:
To provide participants with the basic foundational skills and knowledge of implementing Early Childhood Community-Building Circles that are age-appropriate.
- Participants will examine the components of the Community Building Circle Tier 1, including the Respect Agreement and I Message, specifically tailored for teaching restorative practices to children aged 3 to 6 years.
- Participants will engage with a range of comprehensive training materials, including notes, examples, explanations, and modeling techniques for effectively implementing the Community Building Circle Tier 1, Respect Agreement, and I-Messages.
- Participants will discuss practical strategies for administrators and teachers to effectively implement these restorative practices.
- Participants will watch and discuss video examples from the U.S. Department of Early Childhood that demonstrate best practices.
