This session will provide a comprehensive overview of the
McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act and the Every Student Succeeds Act
(ESSA) provisions related to students in foster care. We will explore the
intersections between these laws, discussing key points of alignment and
potential challenges in implementation.
In addition, this session provides a collaborative opportunity for McKinney-Vento
and Foster Care Liaisons to receive updates, connect with community resources,
network, and share best practices.
