2025 Legislative Update





The mission of the Gulf Coast Area Association of School Boards is to encourage cooperation among local school boards to enhance the quality of education for all public school children in the Texas Gulf Coast Area.

Please register through Region 4 to ensure that credit is recorded for this required training. This is required in addition to an RSVP sent to GCAASB.

According to Texas Administrative Code, Chapter 61, each board member shall receive an update to the Texas Education Code (TEC) following each session of the Texas Legislature. This session provided by the Region 4 Education Service Center meets the training requirements for both experienced and first-year board members as related to the TEC.
