Safe Medication Administration in Texas Schools

Course Description:

This 2-hour training equips unlicensed public school personnel with the knowledge and skills needed to safely assist with student medication administration in compliance with Texas laws and district policies. Participants will learn medication types, proper storage, administration techniques, documentation procedures, and when to seek help from a school nurse. Emphasis is placed on protecting student health and safety, understanding delegation under the Texas Nurse Practice Act, and maintaining accountability in the school setting.
