Orientation to the Texas Education Code for the newly elected board members of an independent school district. This training is required of all newly elected or appointed school board members.
Only active School Board Trustees are eligible to register for this session.
Dinner will be provided to all attendees at the start of the session.
According to Texas Administrative Code, Chapter 61, each board member shall receive an update to the Texas Education Code (TEC) following each session of the Texas Legislature. This session provided by the Region 4 Education Service Center meets the training requirements for both experienced and first-year board members as related to the TEC.
