Fentanyl Awareness and Emergency Preparedness

This training will equip school staff with essential knowledge and skills to recognize and respond to fentanyl contamination and opioid overdoses in the school setting. Participants will learn about the dangers of fentanyl exposure, how to identify signs of opioid overdose, and the steps for safely administering Narcan (naloxone). Through interactive scenarios and practical demonstrations, staff will gain confidence in managing potential emergencies and safeguarding student and staff health. This course is designed to empower educators, administrators, and support personnel with life-saving information and procedures critical in today's educational environments. This training covers the state requirements for the administration of an opioid antagonist.
