T-Tess Training is intended for administrators who will be utilizing the Texas Teacher Evaluation and Support System (T-TESS) model to appraise teachers.

The goals of T-TESS  training include the following:

• To equip instructional leaders and appraisers to effectively implement the Texas Teacher Evaluation and Support System (T-TESS)
• To focus on the rubric, observation protocols, feedback and conferencing strategies. 

Completion of this training is one of the required steps to becoming a certified appraiser. Participants must take and pass an online certification test annually.  

Additionally, participants must also attend/have attended either Instructional Leadership Development (ILD) or the new Advancing Educational Leadership (AEL) training in order to complete the required steps of becoming a certified appraiser and are encouraged to verify this information with their districts. 

Uninterrupted attendance at all 3 days consecutively is required.  Participants are requested to make arrangements in their schedule to attend the training in its entirety. Partial attendance of sessions does not satisfy the attendance or certification requirements.
