AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers (2025 Guidelines)
Target Audience: RNs, LVNs, and School Health Staff.
Course Description:
This instructor-led, hands-on course prepares school nurses to recognize and respond to life-threatening emergencies in the school setting. Based on the 2025 AHA Guidelines, participants will master high-quality chest compressions, deliver effective ventilations, and provide early AED use. The curriculum emphasizes the "Chain of Survival" for adult, child, and infant victims, with a focus on high-performance team dynamics and rapid response.
Learning Outcomes
By the end of this session, the learner will be able to:

Perform high-quality CPR and AED use for adults, children, and infants.

Demonstrate efficient team communication and leadership during a multi-rescuer event.

Execute proper relief of foreign-body airway obstructions (choking).

Identify updated protocols for opioid-associated emergencies and Naloxone (Narcan) administration.
Certification Requirements

Skills Test: Successful demonstration of Adult and Infant CPR/AED skills.

Exam: Score of 84% or higher on the AHA BLS Provider exam.

Credential: Participants receive a 2-year AHA BLS Provider eCard.
