This face-to-face professional development session will provide instructional leaders with the understanding of how to use the lead4ward side-by-side comparison documents. Discussion points will include curricular and instructional implications and system considerations that can be employed to support teacher and student transitions to the new standards. Workshop registration includes a copy of the side-by-side alignment tool that provides in-depth analysis of the current and newly adopted TEKS. After registering for the session, participants will be asked to select one of the following side-by-side alignment tools: elementary (K-5) or middle school (6-8) or high school (9-12).
CSCOPE districts will also be given a sample of the Transition Alignment Guide (TAG) that is being created by the curriculum collaborative to provide instructional considerations for the new TEKS within the CSCOPE curriculum.
