Developing Writing Skills in the Elementary Grades
Share
Using the writings of Lucy Calkins, we will examine the early stages of writing. We will look at the explicit teaching strategies necessary to develop successful confident writers. We will engage in a variety of hands on activities that will inspire and ignite a passion for writing in the early grades. The materials and information presented in this workshop will support the development of foundational skills necessary for STAAR success in later grades.
