Teaching Social Behavior: Equipping Students for Life




Most educators recognize the need for students to have better social skills, but lack confidence in the ability to teach social skills in a meaningful way. Participants will learn successful techniques and strategies, important concepts to teach, and roadblocks in teaching and learning social skills.  Specific concepts that will be presented include:

  • The definition of social skills
  • The rationale behind teaching social skills
  • How to overcome the roadblocks in teaching social skills
  • How to write a social story
