When children demonstrate challenging behavior, many aspects of the classroom are impacted such as teacher behavior, classroom environment, quality of instruction, and the behavior of other students.
In this session, you will learn to:
- discriminate between effective and ineffective communication styles
- practice and demonstrate power struggle avoidance techniques
- identify the function of a student's behavior and pair it with an appropriate behavioral intervention
- choose practical and visual tools to implement in order to help minimize disturbing or disruptive behavior
