GEMS: Involving Dissolving

In this workshop, teachers will receive the "Involving Dissolving" GEMS guide that provides techniques to create a very positive early experience with chemistry. Teachers will witness how students can explore the concepts of dissolving, evaporation, and crystallization. Using familiar substances, the teachers will create colorful, homemade “gel-o” disks and crystals that emerge on black paper to make a “starry night.” Grades 1-3
