Proportional Reasoning in the Middle Grades Day 1: Missing Value Problems

Proportional Reasoning in the Middle Grades is a training that addresses this important topic through missing value situations. The problem solving that students are asked to do is similar to the approaches used in Cognitively Guided Instruction (CGI) for the Elementary Grades. On day 1 of this training teachers will discover how children's mathematical ideas develop and explore ways they can foster algebraic reasoning in their students.
