A science teacher leader is someone whose primary job is to promote exemplary instruction by working directly with teachers. These mentors are given a wide array of other possible titles, such as instructional coaches, curriculum coordinators, instructional strategists, or academic specialists. Job descriptions may include observing classroom instruction and providing feedback, modeling, conferencing, coaching, and organizing professional development along with support for implementation. The science teacher leader works with teachers to ensure effective instruction and student success.
