Assessing Children's Algebraic Thinking Day 1: Doing, Knowing, and Understanding Mathematics

Participants will construct a deep understanding of mathematics as they learn how to help students with the "doing" of math. Teachers will explore ways to use problem solving as the vehicle for developing mathematical understanding. Together, doing and understanding will engage students in successful practices of math.
