A loss or fatality will have an impact on your students, whether it is personal, or experienced school-wide. This training will help educators be better prepared to provide support and assistance to students who have experienced the trauma of loss, so they can ultimately begin the road to recovery and have healthier outcomes throughout their school experience. Objectives will include recognizing the need for trauma intervention, how crisis affects our students (and their learning potential), and how to utilize support when responding to a crisis. The use of assessment protocols and best practices for referral will help ensure that you and your campus are best prepared in the event of a crisis response.
