Programming Institute Day 3: Lists and Functions

As teachers become more familiar with computational thinking and looping, the next logical step will be to explore lists and functions.  Have you ever wondered what the 50th number in the Fibonacci Sequence may be without going through each and every step to figure it out?  By creating a list and generating a value for the nth term, participants will be able to answer the Fibonacci questions and any others that involve locating different values in a set.  In mathematics, a function consists of an input for the value of a variable to output a result.  In programming, that concept is the same, but the process is the most valuable component.
