Forum for Staff Serving Students with Visual Impairments
Using BART Techniques for Bonding and Sensory Integration with Infants Who Have Visual Impairments




The Regional Plan of Services for Students with Visual Impairments establishes these forums. They are used to inform certified teachers of students with visual impairments and Certified Orientation and Mobility Specialists of information from TEA and other agencies serving students with visual impairments. Topics such as legal issues, updates of the regional plan, and current information in the field of visual impairments will be discussed.

Important Session Information:


We will take care of VI Forum business at the beginning of our session. Holly Cooper will teach us relaxation techniques for bonding and sensory integration with infants who have visual impairments. Dolls will be provided for the practice experience. Our session will cover some techniques from "Bonding and Relaxation Technique" (BART). Participants will receive the ESC certificate but not a BART certificate. Lunch will be served at our ESC.
