Language and Literacy for Young Children

This interactive session will focus on increasing and intentionally planning activities throughout the daily routine to enhance language and literacy development for young children. Time will be devoted to reviewing foundational skills, developmental stages of language and literacy, as well as fine motor development in early childhood settings. A variety of appropriate teaching strategies to build vocabulary, enhance phonological awareness, and develop emerging writing skills will also be presented.
