Do you feel confident in your ability to accurately score your students' essays? This training will take you through each of the assessed writing areas: organization and progression, development of ideas and use of language and conventions. We will discuss the requirements for each score point, as well as teaching techniques targeting areas of difficulty for students in Region 6.
If you have your compositions from the STAAR test, bring them along. We will analyze them to get a head start on writing instruction for next year.
