This workshop will focus on the foundational reading skills necessary for the development of proficiency in reading. Come learn how each of the five components: phonological awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary and comprehension play an integral part in the developmental and cognitive reading abilities of each student. All five components work together to lay a solid foundation in the development of reading for comprehension. Intervention strategies to implement with struggling readers of all ages will be presented.
