Understanding RtI in Mathematics Day 2: Building Students' Mathematics Proficiency
Share
How we transfer what we have learned about RtI in mathematics and discuss how it impacts our classroom instruction. During this session, participants will review models for number sense and initial math skills. Learn how to build students’ proficiency with whole numbers, fractions and decimals. Participants will leave with research-based information on teaching problem solving strategically and the importance of teaching mathematical vocabulary. Finally, we will explore alternative research based models on the next steps for RtI in the mathematics classroom.
