Special Needs in the Preschool Classroom
Helping children learn social, emotional, and self-regulating skills

This workshop focuses on the child behavior regulation continuum and understanding that weak attention regulation skills will be observed in most Pre-K children and not just children diagnosed with ADHD. You will learn specific teaching strategies that can be effective with special needs children who struggle with regulating their behavior.

In this course, you will also learn about the types of children who might be identified as having "special needs." While there is a broad range of children who fall within the special needs category, this course will focus on those children who struggle with their:

  • Behavior
  • Attention
