Using Mentor Texts in Kn, 1st and 2nd grade

Early writing experiences enable children to experience the joy of written expression while accelerating their literacy skills. Participants will learn how to set up an environment that supports preschool and early elementary writing, how to enhance children's writing development and how to conference with children about their writing. Picture books and activities that address the six traits of writing will also be included.
