Swallowing and Feeding Therapy: Start with Safety, Work toward Independence




Continuing education is a requirement for speech-language pathologists (SLPs).  The SLP must stay up to date on the latest in therapy and research. The Speech-Language Pathology Statewide Learning Series is designed to address current issues, best practices and intervention strategies for SLPs in the field.

 


Important Session Information:


This webinar will discuss implementing the safe swallowing and feeding plan to establish and maintain safe eating at school. Participants will explore the management of swallowing and feeding in the schools, intervention with the student with a progressive disorder and/or student who is medically fragile and students transitioning to or from tube feeding.  Participants will also explore interventions for students with behavioral and/or sensorimotor feeding disorders.
