Programming Institute Day 2: Operators and Looping

Once a basic understanding of computational thinking has been established, programming becomes even more exciting.  During this session, participants will explore two concepts.  The first of these ideas, is an operator.  In short, the constructs that manipulate the values of variables define the basis of this lesson component.  Teachers will utilize block coding to build knowledge and practice operands.  Looping is an important part to any coding session.  Without it, a sequence of steps would have to be repeated until the desired outcome has been reached.  Learners will engage in creating and practicing a series of events that will shorten the execution process.
