The purpose of the Texas Regional Collaborative for Excellence in Science Teaching (TRC-S) is to improve science achievement by continuously stimulating teachers' intellectual growth and upgrading teachers' knowledge and skills through activities that are founded on scientifically based research and aligned with the TEKS. The Science Teacher Mentor (STM) component builds teacher leaders in science to ensure the success of both educators and students. During the TRC-S STM Academy the following will be the focus for each session of this intensive training.
