Instructional Coaching for Improved Teacher and Student Learning

Research has validated that job-embedded, on-site professional development is the most effective and long lasting means of increasing teacher effectiveness and student achievement. Instructional coaches take the best of what they know into classrooms with their experience and expertise to help teachers. The main objective must always be improved learning for teachers to ensure increased learning for all students. This training outlines the conditions for successful coaching in all forms and for all labels, whether it be academic coach, learning coach, mentor, school improvement coach, achievement coach, or collaborator.
