Literacy Instruction for Students with Autism




Literacy is a key component to becoming a functionally independent adult. We live in a text rich world and students with autism need to know how to navigate through it successfully. This session will include a detailed overview of fluency instruction, innovative use of visuals, and behavior management related to academic learning. Learn how to make your literacy curriculum applicable to the real world and engaging for your students. Participants will learn how to identify skill gaps, create individualized learning programs, and assess progress.
