GEMS: Convection: A Current Event
Share
Convection is a powerful and exciting force in many natural physical events: movements of Earth's crust, volcanic eruptions, weather, wind, and ocean currents. Participants will explore the many roles of convection by observing, diagramming, and hands-on investigating. Experimenting with the movement of heat, diffusion of scent, and trajectory of carbon dioxide will help students learn to predict wind patterns as well as apply the concept of density.
